DON’T BUY ANYTHING NEW

Starting off this week:

I think we will do fairly well, as we have a decent amount of leftovers and extras that we can eat. We already often eat leftovers, so maybe the challenge for this week will be easier than it sounds.

Ending the week:

OK so we may have cheated a bit by buying lunch some days but for breakfast and dinner we bought nothing new, and we used things we were likely to have forgotten about if it wasn’t for this challenge. Therefore, I can say that this week was a success because we actually used food that may otherwise have been wasted.

‘Fun’ fact: 25% of all water in the US is used to make food that ends up being wasted!
