Thank you to everyone who came along to our 2019 AGM and the first event of 2020 – Supper of Indigenous Tastes.

2019 AGM

Following a full year of events we would like to thank our 2019 co-leaders Noelene and Wendy, as well as the rest of the 2019 committee for all of their hard work and continued commitment to expanding the Slow Food Brisbane network and the importance of Good, Clean and Fair.

We’d particularly like to thank Noelene McBride and Myra Lowe for their contributions over the past couple of years.   Noelene has stepped down from her role of Co-Leader but is remaining as a member of the committee.  Myra has stepped down from the committee and we would like to thank her for all her work on the website, social media and bringing us into the 21st century with our technology.

The 2019 Annual Report can be read by here.

We welcome back the rest of our committee members for 2020.

Supper of Indigenous tastes – Celebrating Slow Food Brisbane’s Terra Madre Japan and Slow Cheese Italy 2019 Attendee Experience

What a wonderful night listening to Dale Chapman and Wendy Downes share their experiences from the international Slow Food world and tell us about their involvement.  Dale’s presentation following Indigenous Terra Madre in Japan was paired beautifully with amazing food celebrating indigenous ingredients courtesy of Chris Jordan, Three Little Birds.  Thank you to Chris for sharing his uniquely Australian food with us.  This was followed by Wendy guiding us through her time in a village full of cheese in Bra, Italy while we enjoyed Australian artisan cheese platters.

Thank you to Dale and Wendy for delighting us with your stories, to Chris for the stunning indigenous food platters, again to Wendy for the cheese platters and to Dawn & Gerry Brady for never failing to select amazing good value wines.
