Please join us for an evening tasting Coolmunda Olives from the southern Darling Downs.
Coolmunda is the only grove in the State to have Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) accreditation for our environmentally sustainable growing practices.
Scorching summers and frosty winters make the perfect olive. They are the exact conditions they experience seasonally at Nunyara, near Inglewood on Queensland’s southern downs. It’s the State’s prime olive growing region for a reason. The right balance of sun, water, aridity and temperature all contribute to the special flavours of their olives. Lake Coolmunda irrigates their crop and gives its name to their products.
Date: Thursday 22nd July
Time: 7pm for 7.30pm
Venue: Christ Church Hall, 9 Chippendale Street, Milton, 4064.
Cost: members $40 | Non members $50
Owner, Katie Baker, will give a short presentation on their organic olive grove and their farming practices. It will include a tasting of the new season’s extra virgin olive oil and olives. This will be followed by a simple supper of pasta, Coolmunda EVOO and parmesan accompanied with a glass of wine. Coolmunda EVOO and olives will also be available to order.
RSVP by 18 July 2021.
