Slow Food Brisbane – Terra Madre Taste Workshop

Terra Madre has gone local and we are kicking off the celebration with a taste workshop.   Join us for a vertical tasting of Petit Verdot.  Gareth Trickey, the owner of Warrumbungle Wines, will share the story of his vineyard and take us on a guided tasting of Petit Verdot. By comparing vintages between 2004 and 2009 you will be able to get an understanding of the effects of climate, weather and seasonal changes on the taste of wine.

 Accompanying the wine tasting will be a ploughman’s plate showcasing charcuterie made by Chef Damon Porter of Saison Salumi, condiments by Snail, Chris Jordan and other Brisbane Snail products.

To help us better understand the charcuterie, Damon Porter will be joining us to share his philosophy of accountability and respect for the animal and the salumi that he produces.
