A School Kitchen Garden lunch and  Slow Food event at Cannon Hill State School

A Slow Food Brisbane 2017 Event

Join us for a lunch menu designed and prepared by students of Cannon Hill State School with ingredients grown in their kitchen garden. Antipasto followed by a two course lunch, which includes pizza cooked in their community-crafted cob oven, This is a real-life learning event for students of Cannon Hill State School, who plant, maintain and harvest their garden in addition to designing menus and catering for others.

Guest speaker: David Gillespie talks about sugar, fats and real food. David Gillespie is the best-selling author of Eat Real Food, Sweet Poison and Big Fat Lies.

ALSO FEATURING lifecykel Home Grown Mushroom Box fundraiser – simply add water and watch your gourmet oyster mushrooms sprout.
